We are NOT a tour company

We are a global community based around a love for travel and seeking adventure. Members of this community organise all varieties of events and meet ups all over the world.

The ‘Team’ as outlined on this website are not tour guides, but dedicate their spare time to do their best in facilitating the travel goals of other members of the community. This can range from a casual meet up between friends to multiple months exploring an unknown route with a group of strangers and no set destination:

Every adventure is different. And that’s the point.

Adventure Terms & Conditions

Who Takes Part?

As a trip takes form and guests sign up, we may favour individuals who share similar interests to those who’ve already applied - based on information provided and available - to increase the likelihood of group interests overlapping. We have the final say in who joins our adventures and decide on a case by base basis.

To participate in a Global Convoy adventure, experience or any other Global Convoy related event you must agree to be bound by the following:

  1. You must be 18 years of age or older to take part in one of our adventures.

  2. You must be responsible for yourself and your belongings. If anything happens to you on the trip, it is

down to the individual themselves to resolve it and take full responsibility. This includes any

    travel/item/health/etc. insurance (or lack of).

  3. If you have any allergies or pre-existing conditions that may affect you during the trip or affect your ability

to participate in any way you must declare them to us immediately. If you require any medication for any conditions you must make sure you have an adequate supply for the duration of the trip and check the legality of these for countries we will be visiting.

  4. We have a zero tolerance policy for illegal drugs, substances, items, etc. If you are found to be in possession of any of these on the trip, we reserve the right to remove you from the experience with no refund.

  5. We accept no responsibility for dangerous or irresponsible behaviour or any act that could put yourself or others in danger of injury or death. If anything happens as a result of this, you are fully responsible.

  6. The entry fee is your reservation to take part in the trip. You are still expected to provide and bring your own gear/equipment unless otherwise specified/arranged and contribute to your fuel, tolls, general costs that arise for your team/vehicle unless otherwise specified/arranged. You will also be expected to pay for your own food/drinks/excursions/visas both during the trip and leading up to the trip.

  7. This is a trip made up of strangers from all walks of life. Any abusive/hateful/violent/anti-social behaviour in any circumstance towards other participants/organisers/anyone will be treated seriously and we reserve the right to remove you from the trip with no refund. We reserve the right to have the final say in what constitutes this.

  8. If an unworkable problem occurs (e.g. full vehicle failure) and you are unable to continue the adventure, we will attempt to transport you to the nearest airport/train station/city or similar. You understand that we make no guarantee that this will be possible. Depending on the circumstances we may return your fee (not including the deposit) but reserve the right to decide on a case by case basis.

  9. We have put months of planning and research into the route/locations and journey as a whole. But due to the nature of an adventure like this, plans may need to be changed according to the events that unfold or unforeseen circumstance. We will do our best to accommodate these situations but take no responsibility for the results and costs of changed plans.

  10. We routinely record and photograph our adventures, the people in them and the activities that are involved for promotional, work or other reasons. You understand and accept that by taking part in one of our adventures it is very likely you will be included in either videos or photos we use and have no issue with this.

  11. To the best of your knowledge you are legally able to enter and travel through each of the countries/regions/etc. specified for travel in the adventure and hold a valid, in date passport for the entire trip.

  12. The prices presented for a given adventure are applicable to the entire adventure and may not apply to those joining for different portions. Discounts may be given on a case by case basis and we reserve the right to alter or change any given discounts at our discretion.

  13. We may record phone calls and/or conversations for training, work-related and other purposes.

  14. The Global Convoy Limited brand and/or reputation may not be used without our permission to gain sponsorship for personal use. All sponsorship for an adventure must be obtained either by Global Convoy Limited or to benefit the group, unless otherwise agreed.

  15. Global Convoy Limited adventures are typically team-building in nature and individuals are expected to contribute to the adventure when on the road. If it is decided that an individual is taking more than they are giving to a team, we reserve the right to remove the individual from an adventure.

  16. Deposits for your space on an adventure are used in planning and estimations and so are non-refundable. This non-refundable deposit is separate and distinct from any other payment or deposit other than the final price of the adventure it is paid for.
If you have a change of circumstances, you have 24hrs from the end of the ‘pre-adventure’ call to withdraw your interest otherwise you will lose your deposit, regardless of circumstances.

  17. COVID SPECIFIC:
As we are not an official government body we cannot check the authenticity of all vaccination certificates or documents presented. If you do not have an official certificate or document or if they are not recognised by a government official then we will try to help but we have no obligation to alter or delay the trip for you.
Everyone must check the validity of their certificates and/or documents and whether they are accepted in all the countries we will be travelling through.

If you bring an unofficial certificate or document then we reserve the right to remove you from the trip as you will be putting the adventure and everyone on it at risk. Any legal problems caused as a result of such actions will be put solely on you.

    And finally:

  18. This is a real adventure. Things can go wrong, times can be tough and as with any overlanding journey there is the possibility of being injured or worse. We work to minimise risks but there will never be a completely risk-free adventure and we cannot accept responsibility for any problems that arise.

This list isn’t exhaustive and we reserve the right to add additional terms if necessary.

By 'registering your interest’, taking part in an adventure and/or paying your deposit/full amount you confirm that you have read and agree to the above terms and conditions of a trip organised by Global Convoy Limited.
